Housing Development Academy is a tailored programme of short courses in new build development skills.

Designed for housing professionals, our curriculum is built to meet the training needs of the public sector working in residential-led development.

Our courses cover key topics including project viability, construction management, financial partnerships, and designing for safety.

Our goal: to equip the public sector with essential skills to develop better, more affordable homes.


Courses are open to all public sector bodies, housing associations, and private sector companies working in the built-environment sector.

Organisations can purchase places on our current programme or commission in-house training sessions around specific training needs.

Public sector bodies can purchase membership which provides additional benefits, including discounts on training.

Training is delivered by Beacon Partnership, NewmanFrancis, and University College of Estate Management.

Our trainers are experts in their field and have a their track record of delivering training across the public sector.

All courses are created to qualify for Continuous Professional Development credits.
