Housing Development Academy

Welcome to the Housing Development Academy

The Housing Development Academy offers short courses on the project management skills that deliver high quality new homes.

Learning is based in real-life experience and our courses support employers to grow their own talent, with a strong emphasis on diversity.

Course participants learn alongside colleagues from the sector, with a strong focus on practical skills. Each course is designed by housing development practitioners and delivered by an expert trainer using real-life scenarios.

All our courses have or will be designed to qualify for continuous professional development credits (CPD).

When do the courses run?

There are six courses starting in April 2023 and each course will be available twice during the year. Courses are in person and will be held in central London.

Who are the courses aimed at?

For 2023/24 we are offering six courses to help housing professionals at different levels of experience to develop key skills. These range from people early in their career and seeking basic awareness, to senior staff who want to refresh or further develop their expertise

How can employers get involved?

Employers can contact the Housing Development Academy team for more information on the training programme and how to enrol their staff.

Can independent learners register?

Yes we accept registrations from independent candidates looking for support in their career progression and you can register on our waiting list .

Please note that we prioritise nominations from local authorities and housing associations, followed by the private sector.
